Luka Doncic and defensive-minded Mavs take a chippy 101-90 win over Clippers for 2-1 series lead

Luka Doncic scored 30 points and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 101-90 on Saturday night at American Airlines Center to take a 2-1 lead in their Western Conference first-round playoff series.

The Mavericks held the Clippers to just 39.8% shooting from the field and forced 15 turnovers. Doncic also had 12 rebounds and eight assists, while Jalen Brunson added 22 points.

Kawhi Leonard did not play for the Clippers due to a right knee injury. Paul George led the Clippers with 29 points, while Reggie Jackson added 15 points.

James Harden and Ivica Zubac led the Los Angeles Clippers to a 109-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series on Tuesday night at Staples Center.

Harden had 31 points and 10 assists, while Zubac added 21 points and 15 rebounds. Doncic led the Mavericks with 26 points, but he also had eight turnovers.

The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard, who is out indefinitely with a right knee injury. George also missed the game due to a right elbow injury.
